Privacy Policy

PastePull is built to collect as little as possible. This policy explains what happens when you use the site.

What we don't collect

• No accounts, names, email addresses or passwords.
• We don't store the videos, photos or audio you download. Most files go straight from the platform to your device. Some pass through our server on the way (for example to join video and audio into one file); they are streamed through, never saved.
• We don't keep a log of the links you paste.

What we process, briefly

• The link you paste is used only to find the media and is discarded. Results (media addresses, title, author handle) are cached for up to 15 minutes so repeated requests for the same public post are fast. Download links we create for you expire after 45 minutes.
• Your IP address is used to prevent abuse (rate limits). We store only a one-way hash of it, in counters that expire within about an hour.
• Aggregate statistics: how many downloads worked per platform per hour, with no link to any person. These power our public status page and are deleted after two days.
• Security check: before your first download in a session, Cloudflare Turnstile checks that you're a person. To do this, Cloudflare processes signals from your browser, and we send it your IP address with the check. See Cloudflare's privacy policy.
• Browser helper: if you use our bookmark or browser extension, it reads the media addresses from the public post you have open and sends them, with the post's link, to prepare your download. It first checks, without your cookies, that the post is public, and stops if it isn't.

Editing and translation stay on your device

Trimming, cropping, converting, compressing and caption translation run entirely in your browser. Your files and captions aren't uploaded to us.

Stored on your device only

Your theme choice, your recent downloads list, offline copies of our pages and a short-lived security pass are saved in your browser (see our Cookie Policy). The security pass is a signed token that only works on our server; everything else stays on your device. You can clear all of it anytime from the downloader or your browser settings.

Advertising

We don't currently show ads. If we add them, this section will explain how, and visitors in the EEA, UK and Switzerland will be asked for consent first.

Analytics

We use Cloudflare Web Analytics to count visits and measure page speed. It doesn't use cookies or local storage and doesn't track you across sites.

Who processes data for us

• Cloudflare hosts the website and protects our servers, runs the security check, provides the visit statistics above and forwards emails sent to our contact address.
• Oracle Cloud hosts the server that finds and prepares your downloads. It is located in Morocco.

If you email us

Messages to contact@pastepull.com are forwarded to our mailbox. We use your address and message only to reply and to handle your request, and we delete them when they're no longer needed.

Your rights

Because we don't keep personal data tied to you, there is usually nothing to access or delete. If you have a question or request, email contact@pastepull.com.

Children

The service isn't directed at children under 13 (or the minimum age in your country).
