Facebook only lets you save videos inside its own app. Paste the link to a public video or Reel to get it as a regular MP4 file you can keep and play anywhere.
How to download from Facebook

Open Facebook and find the post you want to save.

Tap Share, then Copy link. In the browser, you can also copy the address from the address bar.

Paste the link in the box above. We find the media automatically.

Choose a quality and tap Download. The file saves to your device.
What you can save
- Public videos in HD where available
- Facebook Reels
- Share links (fb.watch and facebook.com/share)
- The audio track on its own
Good to know
- Videos in private groups or shared with friends only can't be downloaded.
- Stories need a login, so they aren't supported.
- Live videos can be saved after the broadcast ends.
